We’ve been retained by an innovative medical device scale-up in their search for a hands-on Production Manager. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of production operations within a high-impact, class IIb/III medical environment—where precision, compliance, and innovation come together to change lives.

This role is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives on structure, continuous improvement, and building high-performance teams in a regulated setting. You’ll report directly to the Operations Director and be based on-site in the Veenendaal region.

 

Key Responsibilities

As Production Manager, you will:

·      Lead the production team and create a culture of ownership, structure, and quality.

·      Implement and optimize production processes, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and GMP.

·      Drive validation activities, manage technical documentation, and ensure traceability.

·      Oversee design transfer from R&D to manufacturing in close collaboration with QA/RA and Engineering.

·      Plan production schedules and manage the supply chain, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

·      Collaborate across teams including Quality, Engineering, and Procurement to improve throughput and efficiency.

·      Support audits and inspections, contributing to a robust QMS and continuous improvement culture.

 

Your Profile

You’re ahands-on and structured professional who enjoys getting involved with both strategy and shop floor execution. You bring:

·      A technical degree (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Automation).

·      5+ years of experience in a production management role within a regulated industry. Experience with medical devices Class II or Class III higher strongly preferred.

·      Solid experience with process validation, documentation, and quality systems (ISO13485, GMP).

·      Strong people management skills with a coaching, proactive approach.

·      Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.

·      Experience in cleanroom or high-precision manufacturing is highly desirable.

·      Knowledge of MDR and familiarity with lean or six sigma methodologies is a bonus.
