Senior HSEQ Officer – Offshore & Marine Operations | Zeeland (On-site)

Our partner is an international offshore organization active in complex marine and energy projects worldwide. From their Dutch headquarters, they manage global operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, sustainability, and operational excellence.

To strengthen the corporate HSEQ function, we are looking for an experienced Senior HSEQ Officer who will play a key role in supporting both offshore units and shore-based departments.

Key Responsibilities

As Senior HSEQ Officer, you are responsible for maintaining and continuously improving HSE(Q) standards across offshore operations and corporate departments.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting offshore units in daily HSE matters in close cooperation with onboard Safety teams
  • Advising on changes in legislation, class rules, and industry standards
  • Analyzing incident and accident data and contributing to Safety Management System improvements
  • Developing and facilitating HAZID and HAZOP studies
  • Conducting scheduled and unscheduled audits (onshore and offshore) and following up on action items
  • Supporting and accompanying client HSE visits and audits
  • Initiating and developing new procedures, work instructions, and HSEQ communications
  • Proactively identifying improvement opportunities and driving HSEQ performance

You act as the link between policy and practice, working closely with management and operational teams.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Maritime, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Relevant experience within offshore, shipping, or oil & gas operations
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 standards
  • Familiar with international legislation, flag state, and class requirements
  • Internal or Lead Auditor experience is a plus
  • Experience in shipboard management and/or offshore HSE activities
  • Willingness to travel regularly (onshore and offshore)
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Capable of acting as Company Security Officer (CSO)
