Unity Partners on behalf of our offshore energy partner
Expeditor – Offshore Energy Projects | The Netherlands
Our partner is a leading engineering organization active in major offshore wind, oil & gas, and energy transition projects. To support the procurement and supply chain operations on large EPC projects, we’re looking for an experienced Expeditor who ensures suppliers deliver materials, documentation, and services on time — enabling smooth project execution and uninterrupted construction schedules.
As an Expeditor, you act as the central point of coordination after purchase orders are issued. You monitor progress, maintain close communication with suppliers, and resolve issues before they impact project timelines. Your proactive approach ensures that all logistics, documentation, and material deliveries stay on track throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
As an Expeditor, you will:
- Monitor and report the progress of purchase orders, ensuring suppliers meet contractual obligations.
- Identify risks and delays early and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule integrity.
- Organize and lead kick-off meetings, pre-inspection meetings, and progress reviews with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Review and validate delivery schedules, inspection plans, and supplier progress reports.
- Ensure all critical sub-orders are placed on time and aligned with project milestones.
- Manage the receipt and accuracy of supplier documentation, including certificates, drawings, invoices, and bank guarantees.
- Coordinate inspection visits and material release together with Quality/Inspection teams.
- Track, update, and maintain progress records in procurement systems for transparency and control.
- Collaborate closely with project procurement teams and other engineering disciplines within a dynamic, fast-moving EPC environment.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Technical Business Administration, or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in expediting or supply chain roles, preferably within offshore, energy, or EPC projects.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a hands-on, problem-solving attitude.
- Skilled communicator capable of managing supplier relationships with clarity and professionalism.
- Familiarity with technical documentation, procurement processes, and progress reporting.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
Organization & Offer
You will join a dynamic procurement team within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, working on projects that push the boundaries of offshore and energy innovation.
What you can expect:
- Participation in world-class engineering projects — from offshore wind platforms to industrial and marine installations.
- A professional yet friendly culture with an emphasis on teamwork, ownership, and “getting things done.”
- Flexible employment conditions, allowing you to choose more salary, additional vacation days, or a combination.
- Excellent secondary benefits, including:
- 31 vacation days
- 7% annual bonus
- Profit sharing
- Flexible pension scheme
- Travel & home-working allowance
- Numerous opportunities for development through courses, training, and professional certifications.
Interested?
If you’re an experienced Expeditor who thrives in complex offshore projects and enjoys keeping suppliers accountable and schedules on track, we’d love to hear from you.
