E&I 3D Designer – Offshore Energy Projects | The Netherlands
Our partner is a leading engineering organization working on large-scale offshore renewable energy projects. As part of the energy transition, they design and deliver high-voltage offshore substations and complex energy platforms that play a critical role in tomorrow’s power infrastructure.
To strengthen their Electrical & Instrumentation design capability, we’re looking for an experienced E&I 3D Designer who enjoys bringing complex designs to life within multidisciplinary project environments.
Key Responsibilities
As an E&I 3D Designer, you will:
- Develop and maintain the 3D E&I model for large offshore energy platforms.
- Model electrical and instrumentation components such as junction boxes, panels, cabinets, field instruments, and lighting fixtures.
- Route conduits, cable trays, and cabling using dedicated cabling system applications.
- Work with advanced tools such as E3D and Navisworks to ensure accurate, clash-free designs.
- Actively participate in 3D model reviews, design checks, and coordination sessions.
- Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines to align inputs and ensure seamless integration.
- Generate drawings, documents, and reports using DRAW.
- Contribute to safe, efficient, and optimized offshore platform designs.
Your Profile
- Completed MBO-level education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in E&I (3D) design within offshore, energy, or industrial projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with E3D and Navisworks.
- Proven capability in modelling and routing E&I equipment, cable trays, conduits, and cabling.
- Understanding of multidisciplinary engineering workflows and deliverable requirements.
- Good command of English; Dutch is a plus.
- Team player with initiative, accuracy, and a strong focus on quality and safety.
- Able to work in line with established quality, HSE, and information security procedures.
