Job description

Unity Partners exclusively on behalf of our partner in Water Technology

We're partnering with an international Water Technology company with over 60 years of expertise in oil/water separation, wastewater treatment, and sustainable water purification. Operating from their base in North Holland, they deliver complex, tailor-made installations to clients across the oil & gas, process, and clean tech industries — from engineering through to turnkey delivery.

As their project portfolio continues to grow, they are looking for a Draftsman to join the engineering team and take ownership of drafting and document control tasks. This is a newly created role — a real opportunity to build something from the ground up in a hands-on, technically driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

As Draftsman, you will:

  • Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
  • Produce fabrication drawings, general arrangements, structural drawings, and process diagrams
  • Support mechanical engineers by taking on drafting tasks, allowing them to focus on calculations and higher-level engineering
  • Manage and maintain document control, including revisions and filing
  • Interpret and apply P&ID symbols and technical standards in your work
  • Proactively communicate with the team and flag improvements where you see them

Your Profile

  • A completed technical education in mechanical engineering, drafting, or a related discipline
  • Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor (2D and 3D)
  • Affinity with fabrication, structural, or process industry drawings is an advantage
  • Familiarity with norms (ASME, ISO, NEN) or safety standards (ATEX/IECEx) is a plus
  • A self-starter who can work independently and manage assigned tasks efficiently
  • Good working knowledge of English

Organization & Offer

You'll join a close-knit, mission-driven engineering team working on meaningful international projects. The culture is informal, collaborative, and technically focused — with real ownership from day one.

You can expect:

  • A competitive junior salary, commensurate with experience
  • Full pension contributions paid by the employer
  • Free daily fresh fruit, traditional Friday lunch, and free access to gym facilities
  • Personal training & development opportunities
  • A chance to grow within a globally active, sustainability-focused organization
